Elizabeth Taylor

Elizabeth grew up surrounded by music and gravitated towards singing, song writing and piano at an early age. Having trained and worked as a professional musician, Elizabeth moved into the corporate sector where she enjoyed a successful career in information technology before studying to complete her Master of Music Therapy. Elizabeth loves authentically connecting with her clients and helping them to support their health and wellbeing through music.


Accreditation and Experience
Elizabeth obtained a Master of Music Therapy course through the University of Melbourne and is an accredited registered music therapist (RMT) in Australia. As part of her training, she completed the required 640 hours of clinical placement in the following settings:

Royal Children’s Hospital - working on the general surgery and palliative care wards, with children and their families

Scope Lifestyle Options, Mitcham - working with non-verbal adults with multiple and profound disabilities

Very Special Kids - 10-week telehealth music therapy intervention working with a number of children with life limiting conditions and varying abilities who were experiencing isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Central Ringwood Community Centre – 12 week online community placement working with adults and children with a variety of physical and mental health related needs
Since graduating, Elizabeth has worked extensively with adults, adolescents and children in the areas of mental health, disability, early childhood development, education, autism and aged care. Elizabeth has significant experience working both in-person and on-line through the Zoom platform.
